Fast Track COVID-19

SPARK Bordeaux launches the Fast Track COVID-19 call for projects SPARK Bordeaux proposes to support translational research projects targeting the prevention, improved management and prognosis of COVID-19 positive patients . Any epidemiological approach, repositioning or combination of drugs, genomics or metabolomics, which allows either to integrate a clinical study or to propose a new pharmacological strategy is eligible. Selection Fast Track COVID-19 is a call for projects intended for researchers and clinicians who work in a research unit whose trustee is the University of Bordeaux. Applications will be evaluated as it goes by an ad-hoc Selection Committee under the guidance of the presidency of the University of Bordeaux and composed of academic and industrial experts in order to allow the selection and implementation of the project in a quick and efficient way in the fight against COVID-19. Multicentric projects are eligible if they are coordinated by a structure from Bordeaux. Applicants will be asked to defend their project during an oral presentation before the Selection Committee, according to a predefined presentation format (support provided, 10 minutes presentation, 20 minutes of questions and answers). The selected project leaders will be informed rapidly and support will begin in June, 2020. Support for these projects includes personalised follow-up, advice from industrial and academic experts covering all stages of development, seminars and funding. Project leaders will participate in regular meetings to exchange with the community of project leaders and experts and present the evolution of their projects.
