In this SPARK Bordeaux Seminar, Anne Sophie and Constant, partners at Newfund, shared their expertise on what makes a compelling pitch deck. The discussion focused on the key elements that early-stage and growth-stage investors look for when assessing a startup’s potential. Entrepreneurs attending the session were provided with actionable tips and strategies to better position their businesses in front of investors.
Anne-Sophie Saint-Martin graduated from CPE Lyon, a school of engineering specializing in Physical Chemistry and Electronics, and from EM Lyon Business School. Anne-Sophie began her career working as a researcher in both public (CNRS) and private (Cylene Pharmaceuticals Inc., Solvay) laboratories. In 2013, she joined BPI France in the lending division, where she financed over 100 startups. She joined Newfund in 2016 and was promoted to Partner in 2021. Over 7 years, she made 17 investments and specialized in digital health startups. Anne-Sophie leads the HEKA team, a digital health vehicle focused on Braintech, and is responsible for investment strategy.
Constant holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy and a degree from the Grande École program at EM Lyon Business School, where he specialized in entrepreneurship and finance. His thesis work focused on the regulatory aspects and market access of innovative medical devices. Before joining Newfund, he supported digital health startups at Bpifrance le Hub. He is an associate within HEKA, particularly responsible for the Nordic countries.
