SPARK-Bordeaux Team
SPARK-Bordeaux is led by a scientific director and a program manager, together responsible for program coordination, mentor management, community engagement, and international network activities.
Project selection is a collective process. The SPARK-Bordeaux team works alongside jury members drawn from PUI Bordeaux and the wider regional innovation ecosystem, bringing in expertise from across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine health and life sciences community to ensure rigorous, well-informed evaluation of each application.

Part of a wider innovation ecosystem
SPARK-Bordeaux operates within DIESE, the University of Bordeaux's directorate for innovation and entrepreneurship. It works alongside two complementary programmes that together form the translational pathway for health research at the university:
MATURE YOUR PhD+ builds entrepreneurial awareness and innovation skills among doctoral researchers across all disciplines.
PREMATURATION supports early-stage projects at lower technology readiness levels, providing the first step of structured translational support across all research fields.
Health-related projects that mature through MATURE YOUR PhD+ or PREMATURATION are actively encouraged to apply to SPARK-Bordeaux, which provides the next level of funding, mentoring, and structured development toward clinical or commercial impact.
